.Large to extra-large surf will prevail into Saturday, due to
overlapping west-northwest to northwest (295 to 320 degrees)
swells The swell will decline late Saturday and Sunday. Higher
than predicted tides will produce minor flooding along vulnerable
low-lying coastal infrastructure as well as some some beach
erosion during peak high tides between midnight and sunrise. The
elevated tides will also contribute to runup and beach erosion
late tonight along north and west shores exposed to the large
swell.
* WHAT...For north facing shores, surf of 20 to 30 feet tonight,
slowly decreasing Saturday. For west facing shores, surf of 18
to 25 feet tonight, slowly decreasing Saturday. Additionally, a
combination of higher than predicted tides and elevated surf
will produce nuisance coastal flooding, mainly during peak high
tides in the early morning hours between midnight and sunrise.

and Molokai.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Warning, until 6 PM HST Saturday. For

navigating the channels dangerous. Flooding of beaches that
are normally dry, minor coastal erosion, and saltwater
inundation.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to
drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with
fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to
higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get
too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Secure
canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.

prepared for road closures. Postpone entering or leaving channels
affected by the high surf until the surf subsides.
